You have a unique opportunity to participate in a 'Solidarity Trip to Israel' to learn about the struggle for democracy firsthand, to demonstrate, and to impact your congregation through your experience and knowledge.

We are offering a pro-democracy solidarity mission to Israel on October 20 to 23.

With this one-of-a-kind opportunity you'll meet these protest leaders:

  • Yossi Klein Halevi, senior fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem

  • Shikma Bressler, leader of the Israeli protest movement

  • Moran Zer Katzenstein, leader of the women’s rights movement “Bonot Alternativa”

  • Tamir Pardo, former head of the Mossad

  • Dan Halutz, former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces and commander of the Israeli Air Force

  • Elyakim Rubinstein, former Supreme Court Justice

  • Prof. Ariel Porat, President of Tel-Aviv University

We have organized a packed agenda to give you a unique and unforgettable opportunity to understand the situation in Israel firsthand, to show support to our Israeli brothers and sisters protesting in Kaplan, and to bring them a message from our American congregations.

We are attaching the brochure, and registration link: https://makor.formstack.com/forms/solidarity_mission

When we spoke to Yossi Klein Halevi about this mission he said:
“This is exactly the kind of initiative that Israel needs from Diaspora Jews.  With the fate of Israeli democracy hanging in the balance, this is the time for Jews around the world to stand with the most remarkable protest movement in Israel’s history, and together affirm the decent Israel we love.  Standing with hundreds of Israelis waving dozens of giant Israeli flags is one of the most moving Zionist experiences you will ever have.”

No doubt, you have supported Israel in the face of external threats over decades; join this unique trip to Israel and become an advocate of Israeli democracy. Upon your return, engage your congregation and relay your experience. Take action and make an impact!

Do you feel you want to thank the Israeli protesters who are fighting to protect a democratic Israel? Do you want them to know you are supporting them? Here is the opportunity.

Between now and October 10, we invite you to submit a photo or video of your community coming together in support of Israel's pro-democracy movement, thanking the protestors.

Submissions will be compiled into one united message to be shared with the protest leaders in Israel.
